The Young Founders Challenge is built on one simple belief. Children are capable of building real things. Not someday. Right now.

Most founders will tell you the same thing. They wish someone experienced had been in their corner when they were starting out. We decided the children we teach should not have to wait that long.
Since 2013, at CMR and Ekya, we have been building problem-solving skills in children through Design Thinking Challenges, Makery, and hands-on maker spaces. Along the way, our students have built startups and real ventures. The Young Founders Challenge is the natural next step, the moment ideas and prototypes are put into action, at scale.
This year, close to 2,000 students from grade 8 to 12 across CMR Institutions and Ekya Schools are building real products, moving from a raw idea to a working prototype, the way founders actually do. In an age where anyone with curiosity and the right tools can build, we believe that is exactly the education children deserve.
